Kiss the sad desk lunch goodbye. Actually, get rid of any sad lunch even if it's not at your desk. After a year of cooking at home, we are all craving ways to jazz up our mid-day meal and there is no easier route than with a few good condiments. A spread of this, a drizzle of that can go a long way in amping up a sandwich or salad. In our effort to keep things interesting, we scoped out a few new must have condiments and these are five of our favorites:

Grillo's Pickle de Gallo
Pickles are a sandwich staple, and pico de gallo amps up just about everything from grain bowls to nachos. The geniuses behind Grillo's Pickles out of Boston combined these two condiments to make pickle de gallo. The crisp condiment subs in pickles where you'd normally find tomatoes (with a few other changes) to make this innovative topping that comes in sweet, mild, medium, and hot. It adds the crunch and freshness of a pickle with the heat of peppers. We love it on a turkey sandwich with a good, hearty bread, or mixed into egg salad.

Cleveland Kitchen Kimchi
Add a little heat to your next dish with Cleveland Kitchen's new kimchi. Sneak some of this delicious fermented Korean condiment (their version designed with the help of a few local Korean chefs) into a sharp cheddar grilled cheese with a few thin slices of garlic and you won't know what hit you. Or load up a cold noodle bowl with a dollop of kimchi for a boost of spiciness. Their kimchi is vegan-friendly and contains good-for-you probiotics as a bonus.

3 Sons Foods Diablo Verde Creamy Cilantro Sauce
Not only is this sauce delicious, it was started by a mom and her three teenage sons who had a big passion for giving back to animal conservation, with part of their proceeds going towards saving rhinos and wolves. This sauce is reminiscent of a salsa verde, but the spread is much more sandwich friendly. There are multiple spice levels (mild, medium, and spicy) and a new vegan version that is equally delightful. Spoon it on your sandwich with leftover skirt steak or chicken and a few slices of avocado and you'll forget that this was last night's dinner. Or thin it out with a splash of olive oil and white wine vinegar to create an ultra easy salad dressing. It can also double as a marinade or nacho topping!

Samyang Bulldark Spicy Chicken Roasted Mayonnaise
Most famous for their ultra spicy ramen, Samyang makes wow-worthy condiments too. Their Spicy Chicken Roasted Mayonnaise has a kick of heat that's a slow burn, meaning you won't be overwhelmed with all spice and no flavor. "Very tasty on white rice or as a dipping sauce for chicken, and really livens a up a dull sandwich," says one reviewer. Others suggest putting it on burgers, drizzling over grain bowls, or mixing into chicken salad.

Sir Kensington's Everything Sauce Garlic
Made with a base of garlic and fermented lemon, this Sir Kensington's Everything Sauce adds a zip of flavor to anything it's slathered on. With a creamy texture, it makes a great base for dips, sandwich spreads, and cold salads like tuna or egg. One positive reviewer even recommends dipping sushi in it! Just one word of warning: With the amount of garlicky punch this sauce has, you'll probably want to pack an after lunch mint too.
