Drink This Coffee to Help Save Honey Bees

Chef Gabe Kennedy, winner of ABC's The Taste and host of Allrecipes Dinner Spinner TV, is pretty pumped about a delicious new project. He's created a signature blend of coffee, sold online, with a portion of the proceeds going to efforts to bolster the honey bee population in the face of a massive global bee die-off. It's fitting, because without honey bees, there would be no coffee (or flowers, or strawberries).

Chef Kennedy explains his commitment to this important mission: "Bees are essential in our world food system. In fact, bees and other pollinators are responsible for one out of every three bites of food we eat. They are vital to the reproduction of over 100 types of crops in the US, including avocado, almonds and apples. Due to a variety of factors including modern commercial farming practices there is a massive bee die off known as ‘colony collapse disorder'. That's why I decided to partner with Groundwork — a company committed to sustainable, relationship-based, organic coffee sourcing — in developing a line of coffee dedicated to saving the honey bees!" The coffee is certified organic, sustainable, fairly traded - and delicious!
