Hershey's Just Unveiled Their 2020 Christmas Candy — and We Don't Know What We Want to Eat First

Winter candy is coming.

The high temps have ticked down a few degrees, which means pumpkin spice is pouring out of every cup, and we're swapping hot dogs for sloppy joes and other comfort food favorites. Lest you forget, the holidays aren't too far beyond these gourds, ghosts, and goblins. And in case you prefer to skip over the costumes and cauldrons of Halloween candy, you can go ahead and start dreaming about Christmas bells, snowmen, and nutcrackers. Why those specific things? Because they're part of the Hershey's Christmas candy lineup — which was just unveiled today.

Hershey's shared an early preview of the holiday candies with us, and the only thing missing from the reveal of the new Hershey's, Kit Kat, Icebreakers, and Reese's candies was a snowy day. So while it still may be 90 degrees in some parts, these seven new candies and two returning favorites already have us in a holly jolly mood.

New Hershey's Sugar Cookie Kisses kick off the holiday lineup — and confirm rumors of the new candy flavor that was reported earlier this summer. The Sugar Cookie flavor is the 10th Kisses variety, and it is sure to be a new fan favorite.

The sugar cookie-flavored white creme is studded with real cookie pieces for a bite that's equal parts creamy and crispy. There's also an updated blossoms recipe on the back of the bag, an upgrade from the iconic Peanut Butter Blossoms which were first shared in 1957, and it uses the new Sugar Cookie Kisses at the center of the cookie instead of the traditional milk chocolate Kiss. But these Kisses are so stellar, don't be surprised if you gift yourself a whole new bag each time you go to the store this holiday season.

Reese's White Elephant

Speaking of gifts, Reese's new White Elephant is guaranteed to be the best gift you can grab for white elephant parties, quick gifts, and stocking stuffers this December. The new White Elephant gift is in fact a white creme elephant that's filled with classic Reese's peanut butter filling. (Need we say more?) It's wrapped in a beautiful foil and packaged up to be the hit gift at any gathering, large or small. Each elephant will be about $5, which is under most price caps for parties. Stock up when you see them. Odds are they'll go fast.

Reese's Peanut Butter Nutcrackers
Hershey's

Last year, Reese's made fans chuckle with the release of Mystery Shapes. This collection of Reese's candies were said to be made in the shapes of a stocking, holiday bells, and ornaments. They joined the iconic Trees and poked fun at the candy's loose interpretation of "shape." (By the way, the Reese's Peanut Butter Mystery Shapes are returning this year, which means we get another few months to try to figure out what those "shapes" really are.)

This year, a more definitive shape is joining the holiday collection: nutcrackers. The new Reese's Peanut Butter Nutcrackers are two-bite chocolate candies that feature harder chocolate shells with a creamy, rich peanut butter filling. Each is wrapped in a decorative foil with a beautiful nutcracker image, which makes them a great addition to Christmas candy dishes.

Kit Kat Duos Mint + Dark Chocolate Snack Size
Hershey's

Kit Kat introduced the Duos Mint + Dark Chocolate last year, the first two-flavor Kit Kat in the U.S. Last month, they announced their second Duos flavor, Mocha + Chocolate, and because the new line of Kit Kats has been so popular, they're giving fans a new version for Christmas: a snack size of the original Mint + Dark Chocolate Duos. Each snack size candy comes with two chocolate-covered wafers, the perfect sweet snack or post-dinner treat.

Hershey's Milk Chocolate Build-a-Santa and Hershey's Cookies 'N' Cream Build-a-Snowman
Hershey's

Hershey's is giving us permission to play with our candy this holiday season. After the debut of their interactive Cookies 'N' Cream fangs Halloween candy, they've introduced another sweet designed for fun. The Hershey's Milk Chocolate Build-A-Santa and Hershey's Cookies 'N' Cream Build-A-Snowman are made to be broken and then rebuilt to form your favorite holiday friends. Each extra-large 4-ounce (milk chocolate) or 3.5-ounce (Cookies 'N' Cream) bar would make a great gift for co-workers, classmates, or neighbors.

If you're trying to keep minty fresh breath between all your holiday nibbling and sipping, reach for this festive new package of Candy Cane Ice Breakers. The iconic square chewing gum pieces come packaged in an adorably cute snowman packaging. (Try to find all three designs!) It's a fun stocking stuffer or just a way to add some holiday cheer to your desk or purse.

Reese's Miniatures Mega Cane
Hershey's

The last of the new items from Hershey's for the 2020 holidays will be the Reese's Miniatures Mega Cane. Sure, you've seen the peanut butter cup-filled candy canes before, but this one is nearly two-feet long, and each inch is filled with cups wrapped in gold, green, and red foils. Race you to the bottom!

Coming back in 2020 for the third year will be Hershey's Kisses Hot Cocoa With Marshmallow Créme. First introduced in 2018, this holiday Kisses flavor is a fan favorite with its delectable marshmallow filling and classic milk chocolate shell. You can eat them alone for a bit of hot cocoa comfort, or plop them into your cup of hot chocolate for an ultra decadent treat.
