We Tried Every New Reese's Snack—And This Is How We Plan to Use Them

Sure, they're great treats, but we can't wait to cook with them.

The popularity of Reese's products has been a boon to The Hershey Company in recent years. Beyond the holiday-shaped peanut butter treats—which engender passionate debates as to whether they're better than the classic cups—Reese's has introduced an entire array of peanut-butter-and-chocolate goodies that delight fans of the iconic brand.

We taste tested many of the newest Reese's snack offerings to give you feedback and tasting notes. While no one will blame you for chowing down in the mid-afternoon when a craving for something sweet hits (certainly not us), we also came up with creative and inspiring ways to put these fun treats to use should you find yourself with a bounty of Reese's goodies in your kitchen.

Reese's Popped Snack Mix

This snack mix combination of Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Minis, Reese's Pieces, peanut butter candy-covered peanuts, pretzels, and chocolate-drizzled popcorn is straight-from-the-bag tasty, but you could make this treat stretch a bit more by combining it with freshly-popped popcorn for a movie snack at home. We tried stirring it into a bit of vanilla yogurt, too, and though the popcorn went a bit mushy, it was quite a delightful treat.

Reese's Mini's Unwrapped

These diminutive cups are quite adorable—and entirely too poppable, we might add. The ratio of chocolate to peanut butter is a bit off—there's more chocolate than you might recall from full-size cups. But that makes them an excellent option for sprinkling atop blondies or bar cookies.

Reese's Dark and Milk Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup Thins

If you prefer chocolate to the peanut butter filling, you'll really love the ratio of the new Reese's Thins. These individually-portioned cups are heavy on the chocolate but still have a nutty balance thanks to a just-right filling of creamy peanut butter. The Dark lives up to its name—it has a bittersweet bite. Milk is reminiscent of the classic cup, just on a slightly shorter side. They're individually wrapped—and 40 percent thinner, according to Hershey—which makes them great for doling out to kids as an after-dinner treat, but we're also excited to use them in stuffed cookies, in place of regular peanut butter cups, which can be a bit big for a clump of cookie dough.

Reese's Crunchers

These Reese's snacks have been around for a bit, but their unique texture—with crispy peanuts, crunchy puffs, and creamy mini peanut butter cups, all wrapped in milk chocolate—makes them a truly unique snack option among Reese's myriad selections. If you manage to save any from the bag, these are perfect additions to a snack mix, and you'd be hard pressed to find anyone who doesn't think they wouldn't be delicious stirred into homemade ice cream. For a bit of texture fun, sprinkle these onto the top of brownies before baking.

Reese's Chocolate Lovers Cups & Reese's Peanut Butter Lovers Cups

No one will blame you if you slink away with a two-cup pack and slip away to an oasis if only in your mind, but if you're curious for ways to use these all-new PB cups, consider decorative options like sprinkling on top of cupcake frosting or layering into a trifle. You can also get creative and cut these in half to use as an art deco-inspired adornment on the side of a layer cake.

Reese's Sticks Wafer Bars

You can buy Reese's Sticks as a longer candy-bar sized treat, or look for Mini Sticks for some fun baking options. These crispy candies feature a delicate layer of thin chocolate around wafer cookies and a good bit of Reese's peanut butter. They hold up well in baking, but they do become a bit wet in foods like yogurt and ice cream.
