Fall may be deemed “pumpkin spice season,” but that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy a Halloween-themed menu item in between our PSLs and apple cider doughnuts. We haven’t seen too many fast food restaurants rolling out their Halloween menus just yet—besides Wendy’s limited-edition spooky Frosty toys in its kid’s meals. However, Burger King just announced its new seasonal menu, and it might just make up for the rest of the restaurants. Because BK’s limited-time offering doesn’t just include one menu item, but an entire meal with four items—and it’s all in partnership with a fan-favorite Halloween movie. Burger King's 2024 Halloween Menu Burger King teamed up with “The Addams Family” animated movie to bring the creepy and kooky family to menus nationwide. “The Addams Family” Menu features four items inspired by the family members, including Wednesday, Morticia, Gomez, and, of course, Thing. The limited-time menu is comprised of three all-new items and one fan-favorite with new packaging. “The Addams Family” Menu includes Wednesday’s Whopper, Thing’s Rings, Gomez’s Churro Fries, and Morticia’s Kooky Chocolate Shake. Burger King Following the immense success of Burger King’s “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” Whopper, which featured a red bun, Wednesday’s Whopper is the classic flame-grilled 1/4 pound burger topped with tomatoes, lettuce, onions, mayo, ketchup, pickles, and Swiss cheese on a purple bun with black sesame seeds—which is naturally dyed with purple potatoes. BK couldn’t keep the Spider-Man Whopper from flying out of stores in 2023, so it’s safe to assume the purple-bunned Whopper—which is exactly the same as the 2023 version, just with a new bun color—will experience the same success. Burger King has been known to fry-ify many of its menu items—like the Chicken Fries, Mozzarella Fries, and now Churro Fries. Gomez’s Churro Fries are crispy fried dough coated in cinnamon sugar and paired with a chocolate dipping sauce. Morticia’s Kooky Chocolate Shake is made with soft serve and chocolate cake batter fudge topped with black and purple cookie pieces. Lastly, Thing’s Rings are simply Burger King’s fan-favorite onion rings in the new themed packaging. Along with the four menu items, Burger King is also introducing “The Addams Family” toys in its King Jr. Meals for a limited time. Burger King’s “The Addams Family” Menu hits participating restaurants nationwide on Oct. 10 and will be available while supplies last. I tried BK’s new Halloween menu at the Burger King HQ earlier this month—here is my honest review of the new items. Bailey Fink My Honest Review of Burger King's Halloween Menu Burger King goes all out for Halloween. From the OG Black Whopper all the way back in 2015 to the fan-loved Ghost Pepper Whopper, BK knows how to stay on theme. This menu, however, has to be one of my favorites. I’ll be honest, I didn’t try the Spider-Man Whopper in 2023—in fact, I’d never even had a Whopper until I visited the BK test kitchen. But, after eating my first-ever Whopper (and second, and third, and fourth), I can say I understand why customers—including the Kelce brothers—love them. Bailey Fink Wednesday’s Whopper is essentially a traditional Whopper, just with Swiss cheese and a purple bun—though the purple potatoes don’t actually change the bun’s taste. The burger is extra flavorful thanks to BK’s signature flame-grilling process and tastes fresh compared to other fast food competitors. I was quite shocked at the Whopper’s size. It’s pretty hefty, and honestly, overall, it doesn’t really look or taste like a fast food burger. It reminds me of something you’d get a casual dining restaurant or even a bar, and I mean that in the best way. You’re paying for fast food value, but getting a delicious, high-quality burger in return. Bailey Fink Yes, Thing’s Rings are just an existing menu item in a new themed packaging, but Burger King’s onion rings are a fan-favorite, so, of course, they’re going to highlight them. I’m a big onion ring fan, however, BK’s rings definitely need a little ketchup or sauce to accompany them. Bailey Fink Gomez’s Churro Fries are an unexpected addition to Burger King’s menu. There aren’t many U.S. fast food restaurants offering them, so it’s a bold move that I think really paid off. The Churro Fries are perfectly crunchy on the outside with a soft and pillowy inside. Plus, they have a hearty dusting of cinnamon sugar, which I will never complain about. The chocolate dipping sauce adds a nice sweetness, but you almost don’t even need it because the churros hold up on their own. Bailey Fink I saved the best for last because my top winner of the entire “The Addams Family” Menu was Morticia’s Kooky Chocolate Shake. I will be ordering this again and again through October. Despite being made with chocolate cake batter fudge, the milkshake isn’t overly sweet. It’s the perfect balance of chocolate and a smooth, almost cookies and cream-like flavor. When you get a crunchy cookie piece through the straw, it really takes it over the top—so, definitely mix up the shake before you dig in to disperse them all evenly. All in all, Burger King knocked it out of the park with this fun, Halloweeny, family-friendly menu. While I’m sure the purple-hued Wednesday Whopper will be the talk of the release, don’t sleep on the new dessert offerings. And, BK, if you’re reading this, I’ll take 10 more chocolate shakes, please. Was this page helpful? Thanks for your feedback! Tell us why! Other Submit
