I’m giving 2 stars because I think it’s a good basic recipe as far as ingredients go but the amounts are way off. After following the recipe exactly all we could taste was sour cream and a hint of dill. I added more seasonings (same proportions) and it still tasted heavy on sour cream and dill. I ended up adding a packet of ranch dressing and some milk to thin it out and it was a hit. But as written it is not something we would try again

I wasn’t excited about trying this recipe because I’m not a big soup person but my pregnant daughter INSISTED on homemade potato soup so I chose this recipe and WOW! I doubled the recipe because my grandma taught me that “nobody leaves the table hungry” and when I tell you that there was less than one full bowl left after dinner I’m not exaggerating ONE BIT! The only things I did differently was to fry and crumble my own bacon and replaced the water and bullion with chicken broth. It is so good that it is now in our rotation! Thanks for such an easy and DELICIOUS recipe!

I’ve never been a big cornbread fan but my daughter asked for cornbread one night and I decided to try making it from scratch and OMG This is SO GOOD! I can eat it just as is and it’s even better with melted butter. It’s part of our weekly rotation 😊

The only change I made was to use fresh packed diced jalapeños and my son in law and husband devoured it in one sitting! I had to make it twice in 2 days because they couldn’t get enough and so now I use it as currency when I need a big job done 😂

The basic recipe lacked flavor so I took the advice of others and used sesame oil instead of vegetable oil. I had to almost double the amount of oil and soy sauce and added a dash more rice wine vinegar. I also added garlic salt, pepper and sesame seeds and eggs. I tasted along the way so I can say with confidence that as written this is very bland but with a few minor tweaks this is so much better than anything I’ve ever had before!

I usually don’t rate a recipe unless I’ve made it exactly as the recipe says. I don’t think it’s fair or reasonable to rate a recipe based on changes you chose to make. I am making an exception in this case because I think the changes that I made did not alter my opinion of this recipe in an unfair way. I added 1 lb seasoned ground beef, added seasoning to the egg mixture and as others have said I used an 8x8 pan, olives & enchilada sauce. It was delicious but is more suited as a dip or burrito filling. As written this would have been bland and not as filling for the good eaters in my family thus 3 stars but with the tweaks it was a bit hit at our house
