I used the recipe to a tee. My 4 year old son loved this with my homemade berry sauce and whipped cream. Will continue to use this recipe but will do so in my trusty cast iron pan. Instead I used it as a base recipe. Instead of butterscotch jello I used French vanilla and omitted the cinnamon. Made very tasty cake like cookies so I added some vanilla frosting. My son and my boyfriend loved them and sadly I only had one and they were gone. Next time I'll stash some away for myself. I agree it's a little bland. Next time I will try suggestions of other reviewers and try a streusel topping or even maybe a cream cheese topping. Over all good but not the best blueberry muffin. I think six would be too big. My family loved them though and I will make these again but maybe add sugar next time. Also the reviews that say to let rise in the oven with a bowl of boiled water in the oven were very helpful because the cold climate I live in my house is normally only at 60 degrees F not ideal for letting dough rise.
