I have been making this for years. I smoke it on the smoker for an hour or two then put it in my instapot with carrots, potatoes and onion. After I remove the majority of the veggies and meat, I keep the remaining gravy and use it to make beef stew. It freezes fine for a long time

Blend? When did you change it to blend??? It used to be combine and boil. That's how you get the true flavor to pop in this recipe!

Slow Cooker Carnitas
I LOVE this recipe! but forget that 10hours in the slow cooker. 1 hour in the instapot and this is perfect. I do put it in the oven on hi broil for a few min just to crisp it up a little after shredding. My mouth waters and my stomach grumbles as I sit here waiting for it to finish.
