It was good. I would’ve added more salt, pepper, and diced onions to the mixture and finished with a melted butter on the top crust. I also bought the pie shells instead of making them.
This was really good. Although I used ground beef, no thyme, 4 bouillon cubes, and 5 quarts of water. I also added a can of green beans, and a can of peas. Turned out beautifully. Will make again.
I made this with some additions. I added 1/4 cup water, melted butter on the top crust with sprinkled white sugar on the top. 2 1/2 tbsp cinnamon, and 1/2 tbsp nutmeg.
I also added lemon juice to the sliced apples before I mixed in the glaze.
The broth made this a winner. I usually add noodles to my chili anyway, so I added it to this one as well. Very filling with just one helping. I made this for a get together. I added about 7 cubes of chicken buillion with the equivalent water; plus peeled, diced tomatoes. I also added one other chicken breast and shredded the chicken. I will make this again. Love the green chilies.
This is how my stuffed peppers turned out. They roasted without me having to baste. I would say 1 1/2 cans of tomato sauce is more than plenty. I used two cans and I had way to much after stuffing the beef mixture in.
This was delicious as far as taste goes. I couldn’t find ziti at the store so substituted the slightly larger penne and layered the same. Baked uncovered. Worked out well. I didn’t have the exact amount of sauce as jars vary so added tomato sauce. I had a lot left over. I made sure I spread everything out to the corners too. I’ll make again but I will make sure I use ziti for real.
