Joan Callaway’s
Challah Bread.
01/17/2024
This was a really good recipe, and my first Challah. I cut it by 2/3, so it made 2 loaves total. We sliced and froze the bread to maintain freshness. When sliced, it makes a really yummy hamburger bun too.
This recipe is very easy and delicious, perfect for the home cook. I used yellow corn grits and sharp cheddar cheese. My family loved it. Thank you for sharing.

Slow Cooker Pot Roast.

This pot roast is really good. I think most home cooks will find it manageable. I served it with Cran-Rasberry Sauce. Thank you for sharing. I didn't add soup mix, as I simply sprinkled in onion and garlic powder, salt, beef bouillon, and dried onion.
This was so delicious. I didn't marinate, but I love Diamond Crystal salt. I sprinkled Ribeye Steaks with salt and pepper right before grilling and added Sautéed Shitake Mushrooms and Onions. Don't forget the pat of butter! Served with Braised Parslied Carrots and Roasted Potatoes with Garlic Oil. Home cooking at its BEST!
This was so delicious and very inexpensive, we only used two sausage links to flavor beans and keep the cost down. Cheap way to feed a family on a tight income.
