braulust Ratings & Reviews 16 Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff 05/19/2020 Super easy to make. Beef came out tender. The sauce was appropriately thick bit lacking a little in flavor. I'll certainly make this again but next time I'll double the amount of Worcestershire sauce and add some salt, pepper and garlic. I used chive, parsley, garlic, sage, majoram, salt and pepper to boost the flavors. The butter crackers add a great flavor. Helpful (0) Chinese Scallion Pancakes 03/09/2017 I tried this for the first time today. The dough was sticky even after I let the dough sit. Once I got some flour on it, it was fine. It rolled out well with only a little contracting. The method of rolling and folding ensures an even distribution of scallion. I didn't find them all that flavorful by themselves but with some sauce, they were excellent. Helpful (2) Garlic-Parmesan Wing Sauce 03/08/2017 This is super easy to make and flavorful. It's a great base recipe and perfect for those who like wings but don't like hot. I've used this recipe a few times now and I've added fresh oregano and basil to give it a little Italian kick, I've added some feta for a more Mediterranean flavor. This is a great starting point, take it make it your own. Helpful (0) Chicken Savoy 12/21/2016 I made it and I'll do so again. I used skinless breasts so cooking time was only 30 minutes. Romano is not easy to come by where I live and I had no mozzarella so I used Parmesan and Gouda instead. Came out super. Nice and tender. This is really a great base recipe you can change around to suit your mood. By substituting cheeses and using flavored oils or vinegar you can give this dish some more flair. Helpful (1) Steve's Famous Garlic Home Fries 10/17/2016 I made this in a non-stick pan. Very important. I also used quite a bit more butter. Maybe 3 times the amount. Even at medium heat, I was noticing too much butter burn off. I'm sure my oven plays a part in that. The cooking time was spot on though. I also added some onions to the pan as well. Next time, I plan on adding some peppers and onions. The important thing is the cook times are right on so you can play around with ingredients. Helpful (0) Homemade Soft Pretzels 09/21/2016 I followed the recipe exactly. I found them to be a little sweeter than I'd like. Next time I'll adjust the sugar content. They did cook up nicely. Golden brown on the outside and soft and fluffy inside. Helpful (0) Ali's Amazing Bruschetta 09/17/2016 Could not be easier. I was able to use fresh basil from the garden. I also used olive oil I keep in a jug with garlic and other herbs. The result was quite flavorful. This is so quick and easy to make. You can't go wrong Helpful (0) Cheesy Hashbrown Casserole 09/07/2016 Super tasty. I made it with fresh shredded potatoes instead of thawed pre-made hash browns. The cream of mushroom soup and the cheese makes the potatoes creamy. I added a bread crumb topping to give it a bit more crunch. Came out great. Helpful (0) Pasta Salad with Homemade Dressing 07/04/2016 This was a huge hit. I made this with some changes. I used feta cheese instead of provolone since provolone is rare where I live and didn't add olives. I also substituted rosemary for mustard seed. It came out great though. The olive out balances out the feta and parm cheeses and you get a creamy cheese flavor. Helpful (0) Slow Cooker Broccoli Beef 07/04/2016 This is a nice fire-and-forget recipe when you want something Asian. Ingredients are easy to find. You may need to add a little extra corn starch to get the juices to thicken. The type of soy you use will change the overall flavor. Better soy means better flavor retention. Helpful (0) Load More
