This is a great recipe! Also, it's so easy to make alterations. I made it with butterscotch chips and apples (instead of white choc and raspberries) and for Xmas i'm going to make it with peanut butter chips and put a milk chocolate layer at the bottom for a peanutbutter cup effect!
taste was only okay... very eggy. i made them in smaller cups (because i have little brothers who hog sweets down very fast) and they came out terrible. the middles were not molten at all. i followed the recipe to the T. they had what i can only describe as... chocolate quiche middles. wow, for some reason, allrecipes edited this review. i made a 2nd batch and they came out better, but that was after cooking them 2 minutes less. even so, the outside was like the chocolate quiche and the inside was gooey.
i used chocolate instead of mint and green instead of red. But those variations shouldn't have made these cookies taste so awful.
They look really pretty and the dough was really easy to roll because i took someone else's advice in adding a lil more butter. I'm not sure what they're missing but they're not sweet enough. They dont taste like cookies...
Note: I Have not eaten the bread yet.
Its still cooking! Its been in the oven at 350 for an hr and 10 minutes and is still doughy on the top! ...still cooking, I turned the heat up to 450 now hopefully it'll be done soon!
Maybe I've become a hummus snob lately, but I really feel like this was too lemony for "red pepper" hummus. Next time I make it I will use less lemon juice. It's not a bad flavor just a hint to bitter w/the juice.
