I used a quarter cup less of flour and added in cocoa powder. I also added organic chocolate chips that are free from milk and egg products. It turned out very good but next time I will increase the applesauce a tiny bit!

I cut the sugar by 3/4c but definitely feel that was too much. If I make it again I will use 1&1/2 c of sugar. I also used 4 eggs instead of 5. I topped it with powdered sugar. Everyone liked it!

I loved this! I accidentally added way too much sugar(1/2 cup), so it was more like eating candy, but it was still delicious. My only recommendation would be to add the bread crumbs to the mixture and not top the dish with them. Very yummy! We used fresh squash from the garden.
