Very sweet. I don’t see why you add nutmeg, the flavour is lost in all the butter, sugar, flour, eggs. Won’t make this again.

Came out moist and delicious, I added a teaspoon of vanilla and followed someone else’s suggestion and swabbed it with some brown sugar melted in water. Brushed it on top as it was cooling.

I didn’t like it all in all. I did add vanilla, plain (full-fat) yogurt and used a 1/2 less of flour so they were moist. (Thank you Mandacook1 for these very helpful suggestions.)These baked in the suggested 18 minutes but a quarter of each muffin was lost to being overdone on the bottom and they stuck to the muffin liner cups. Perhaps used a lower oven temperature? 375 instead of the 400 recommended? I won’t make these again.
