I use this recipe for choc pie. I love it. The only thing I do differently is to wisk until smooth , after adding the butter and vanilla the lumps go away and then I add a chopped up 3/4 bar of bakers choc, and a little less than 1/4 c of good brand choc chips.Chopped choc Melts easier and you have to work fast wisk more until smooth. Since the choc chips add sweetness, I decrease the 1/3 cup of sugar by 3 tablespoons that way your pie isn’t overly sweet. Perfect base for dark choc pie. Toss in a baked shell Add the whipped cream . Done! Super easy.I get loads of compliments.
