The recipe is easy to follow. I didn't have any plain oats. So I used strawberries and cream instant oatmeal and it came out fantastic. I will make this again.

I followed the cookie recipe to a tea and the cookies came out really good. But I did not do the sugar and candy cane mix instead I'm going to ice them with cookie icing and sprinkle them with the crushed peppermint candies.

I made these just as the recipe called for but they came out flat and greasy and too sweet. Next time I make them I'm going to reduce the sugars increase the flour each by a couple of teaspoons and instead of using just butter I'll use 1/4 c. butter and 1/4 c. shortening.

The first time I made this recipe it was very dry but then I realized my mistake, I measured my flower and then sifted it that was my mistake. This time when I sifted my flower then measured it it came out perfect. But I did add a package of instant vanilla pudding mix and only one stick of butter and a cup of oil and this time it came out a little oily so next time when I make it I must still add the pudding mix and only half a cup of oil I see how it comes out I will post it. The frosting is fantastic wouldn't change a thing.

Loved the recipe, but I substituted the whole milk for buttermilk, used half cup of white sugar and half cup brown sugar and made my own crust using the food networks recipe for the Perfect Pie Crust, delicious! Brought it to church and all that was left was 2 pieces. Everyone loved it.

I made my own pie crust, this is a traditional recipe and easy to follow.
