The rule is "if you won't drink it, don't cook with it". So I bought both. And man, I can tell you, buy the real wine! The cooking marsala was salty and had no body. Like others suggested, I used only marsala, no sherry. I added onions and garlic. Triple the sauce! I served with broccoli and fettuccini noodles. Next time I will make with French green beans as I feel the broccoli was too over powering. The focus of this plate should be the marsala! I added 1 cup fresh cranberries, 3/4 cup fine chopped almonds, 1 tsp vanilla and 1 tbs dried orange rind. I tossed the cranberries with about 1/4 cup sugar before adding to the dough. Uses a combination of napa and bokchoy for the greens and added packaged slivered carrots. Reduced the oil to 1/4 cup for the six serving recipe and toasted the noodles without any butter. Was wonderful and lower in fat.
