I came across this recipe and noted the reviews that people did not appreciate the amount of cake mix left on top of the dessert. My OLD recipe version of this yummy dessert instructs the baker to marble in the cake mix by sliding a table knife throught the batter, I use back and forth motions sliding both length-wise and width-wise doing SEVERAL ROUNDS. For transparency, differences in the recipes include using a 1 lb can of pumpkin, using 1.5 cups sugar, 4 eggs and 1 cup pecans. This recipe is likely forgiving on some of the amounts, but I do think marbling may up the satisfaction level with the outcome. As you can see, a lot of the cake mix blended in. Best to you all!
