I came to this recipe for the crust only. I found it to be dry and tasteless. Will have to find a new one.

Second time in a week making this. It’s a hit. Did adjust though so I apologize to the purists. I add chopped onion and red or yellow pepper; used half mayo, half sour cream; half red wine vinegar and half white; tossed in some raisins and sunflower seeds. Creamy and delicious.

If you're looking for preserves/jam, this is five star. However, I like a tart cranberry sauce. I can see how this will go over well with those who usually don't like cranberry sauce.

I made this icing exactly as instructed two months ago. It was perfect and people were impressed, including me. I had a bit left over so I froze it in a glass storage container. I took that out of the freezer this morning to use for snacking on some cake crusts and it was still smooth and delicious! Will make another batch this afternoon for my fresh carrot cake.

Excellent easy recipe with a twist. Loved the sauce ingredient. I always change recipes to suit me so this one gets 5 stars even though I added: the meat from one hot Italian sausage, one garlic clove, one half Tbs of onion soup mix and a few pieces of sweet pepper - added them with the carrots. I used new potatoes and left the skins on. We loved this pie! Thanks.
