Really good recipe although I changed a couple of things. I added Sumac and cooked it in the oven at a high temperature. I used 90% lean ground beef and I like the idea that it is the recipe's only fat. Very delicious.
I cheated on the recipe. I mixed ALL the ingredients together in a big bowl and added the cut up chicken tenders to it and marinated it for several hours. I put the chicken pieces on metal skewers and laid them on a flat sheet pan then washed my hands and baked them in a pre-heated 500 degree oven for just a few minutes. I don't think I have ever had chicken so good.
I followed the directions and I guess every oven is different. I knew 325 was not hot enough to bake it at but I baked it at that anyway to follow the recipe. I had to bake it an hour and a half for the tooth pick to come out clean. Worth waiting for though because it came out delicious.
I love meatball soup! I used only half the ingredients and very little tomato sauce it came out perfect with extra left over. I would definitely recommend this recipe. Adds a nice change of flavor to the menu.
