Second time in 3 weeks making these. I was foolishly worried this recipe yielded too many and froze some. Not only was that unnecessary but it actually turned out to be a perfect accident. They also taste amazing right out of the freezer. Chocolate chip cookies are my favorite cookie. I tend to be very picky about them and I love these! I don’t see myself going back to my cookie recipe anytime soon. I made this recipe exactly as stated and it was perfection, however I did mix and some mini chocolate chips along with the regular ones which is just a personal preference and doesn’t change the recipe.

So good! These were amazing, absolutely amazing. I made as written with one exception, I used pre-sliced jalapeños from a jar. We only like fresh jalapeños in salsa. This will be in our regular dinner rotation for sure!

One of the worst Mac and Cheese recipes EVER. I don’t like that name brand kind but would have preferred it over this. It is so DRY and TASTELESS, well outside of the mustard. Granted I live in WI so maybe I have higher cheese standards but this is the worst I have ever made as written. It would need way too many modifications to make it palatable. I am sorry I wasted good cheese on this. Reviews that have modifications gave this too high of ranking.

Amazing! If you think this doesn’t have enough flavor you are using bad potatoes, bacon, or spices. I used potatoes from our garden and bacon ends and pieces from my local meat smokehouse and it was fantastic. My husband who was skeptical because he does not normally like potato soup even liked it. I didn’t purée any of it, I just cooked it a little lower and longer and used a potato masher to break up some of the potatoes. I also waited until the end to add the bacon back in which I think made a difference in keeping the bacon flavor in the bacon. A sprinkle of cheese on the top of each bowl added a nice, but unnecessary, finish to it.
