(((Vegeterian version))) I've been vegetarian for 4 years & often challenge myself by making some of my favorites dishes into meatless versions. Sometimes they're a miss but most of the time they're a HIT! This veggie meatloaf was definitely a big hit at home! Even my husband (who's a meat eater) LOVED IT! I substituted the meat for Lite Life Smart Crumbles & used tomato juice instead of milk. I TOTALLY RECOMMEND

I made a vegeterian version for dinner tonight. I made a larger batch by doubling the recipe. ***pls note that chilles Pasilla are also called (misslabeled) chile poblano in some groceries. I followed the recipe as is (I doubled) except I used Better Than Bullion instead of chicken Bullion. I made tacos with a side of black beans for added protein. my husband loved it! I thought it was okay. I will mk again but use less cheese sauce & add a little habanero for spice. I def recommend. I will make for my next pot luck at work ??

The topping didn't look right! I didn't read the reviews until after i put it in the oven. I pulled it out of the oven & added more brown sugar and more butter...it still didn't look right so I sprayed some water until it had the consistency of wet sand. It tuned out DELICIOUS!!! My husband...who comes from a long line of bakers...approved!!! I will mk it again but will omit the second cup of flour.

I made this recipe last night, in fact the picture for this recipe is the meat pie i made yesterday! My husband loved it, he even asked to have it for breakfast the next day. i took suggestons from other reviews and added more water and some flour to the meat mix. i also added a pinch of red pepper flakes. it was absolutely delish, i look forward to making it again!!!
