This was a huge hit at our house. I used turkey, instead of chicken, that was marinated it in a little italian dressing. I also spread a small amount of kale pesto (amazing local farmers market item) on the turkey before adding the asparagus and cheese. Meat was moist and flavorful, loved it!
We love this recipe! After I brown the patties I put them in the slow cooker, then proceed with everything else. I do add in a packet of brown gravy mix and some fresh mushroom with the broth, let it all thicken up and then pour it over the patties. A few hours on low and dinner is set! The last time I made this I had some leftover mashed potatoes that I turned into potato pancakes, served the burger on the pancake with the gravy, onion, and mushrooms, DELICIOUS!!
My family loved this!! I used ranch dressing instead of the mayo/dill, a bag of frozen broccoli and added bacon, it was delicious. I cooked the bacon and then sauteed onions and little minced garlic in the bacon grease, threw everything in to the pan to warm it up a bit and filled the roll. I did have a lot of trouble using the crescent rolls so my braid was not nearly as pretty as I had hoped, I will definitely look for the crescent sheets people had mentioned for next time.
We loved this, well the adults did..kids? Not so much. I did use fresh spinach which I cooked with garlic, olive oil, fresh mushroom and a few cherry tomatoes. I seasoned the fish to our liking and sprinkled some grated parmesan on top of the bread crumbs. Served with fresh lemons for the fish and a wild mushroom rice pilaf on the side. Delish!
Delicious! Made this with homemade mashed potatoes and a taco cheese blend. I also sprinkled taco seasoning over the veggies before roasting and put the carrots in for about 15 mins before adding the other veggies. Will definitely be making this again.
