Absolutely Fabulous! I don't say that about many recipes. Because of dietary restrictions, I had to make a couple of minor subs. I used TAMARI Sauce, instead of soy (soy has wheat). I used Brown Monk Fruit, instead of brown sugar & erythritol, instead of sugar (some of us are diabetics). But other than the artificial sweeteners and using Tamari, everything else was made exactly the same. I made up a big platter and made an Asian Slaw, along with individual sized Rosemary Baguettes. Everyone raved about the meal. The meat was the star. Although Asians don't eat bread, like we Americans do, I really suggest some sort of crusty bread with it and a good butter. I had room temperature butter and also a honey butter I had made with sugar free honey, (again thinking about the diabetics). You can purchase the sugar free honey at Walmart. It's cheap and delicious. We had Almond Cookies for dessert. I will most definitely be making this again. Don't forget to sprinkle on the Sesame Seeds. I lightly toasted mine, but you can purchase them already toasted. I think this would work well for either pork or beef.
This is an old recipe on the internet. It's not anything new or original. This recipe's OK, but it's an old recipe. I thought these recipes would be new and original. Disappointed that they're just copied from other people.

I've gotten rave reviews every time I've made this. I have to bake gluten free, so made a quick batch of my KETO almond flour biscuits and use those. I use a metal pan (well sprayed) to get a crispier crust on the biscuits. I also add 1/4 tsp garlic powder to my biscuits. It's just enough, to give them a little more flavor. I've used several different toppings. But, I always use Spaghetti Sauce, with a little Italian seasoning. Because, I always have leftover Spaghetti sauce in the frig. I like to use up what I have. Thanks for a good recipe.

I made this into Mexican Meatball Subs and they were Fantastic. I always loved Italian meatball subs, but thought I'd try this. I topped my sub with some shredded hot cheese and my sister's with some shredded cheddar cheese. She doesn't like her food too spicy, so I put the hot stuff and everything on my own food.

This was great, but I made a few changes. I used boneless, skinless chicken thighs. I used store bought gluten free croutons, which were smaller than usual croutons. I put the croutons UNDER the top layer of cheeses. Since they were small, I was afraid they'd get over cooked. My sister suggested I add some slices of smoked provolone cheese on top. That added even more flavor. I know this isn't traditional, but it's a great quick to prepare main dish, that you can customize several ways.
I followed the recipe, but 10 minutes into baking the large chicken breast, I laid strips of bacon across the top and continued baking. I also did like a couple other reviewers said and basted with the juices a couple times, then served over linguine. Thank you for the easy recipe.
