I made it exactly as it said with tomatoes my sister picked from her garden this morning! Delicious. I used 1/2 jalapeño- no seeds but left the pith and it’s a perfect Medium heat. Thank you cause I’ve been looking for a simple, killer salsa. FOUND IT!

ok, so I think Chef John should ease-up on the after dinner wine because he left out steps in this recipe. Mine turned out tangy instead of more savory. it's such a drag because 2 of the spices in order to prepare this dish are EXPENSIVE. One was $8 and the other $9. What was left out was the mixing of the chicken with cilantro and ? Also, the crushed tomatoes didn't say drained or not? After that addition, my sauce/gravy became tangy. it was good up until then.... I will try try again.
