This recipe was simply perfect. As always l, Chef John delivers. The only thing I added was a two tbsps of white cooking wine. I used this sauce to make some baked ziti. Hubby and I loved it

Simple yet Perfect

Everyone whom I make this cake for says that it is by far the best carrot cake that they've ever had. I use only half the amount of the icing ingredients because I end up with so much excess that I throw it out. Wonderful wonderful recipe. My mom can't get enough.

Was absolutely delicious. I followed the recipe except for the fact that I only had 3 bananas instead of four. I can't wait to make these again. The banana taste was not overpowering and it was so light. Love love love this
