SO easy and delicious! 3 cups of blueberries was enough. Did follow the suggestions for cutting sugar to 3/4C and touch of vanilla. It is sweet enough with the crumble (did add cinnamon). I did not have any sour cream and used 2/3C of fat free Greek yogurt and it came out wonderful! Husband approved!
Easy! I did cut the sugar to just brown sugar, added cloves and a couple of very finely chopped serrano peppers. Made as suggested and it is great! We do prefer this on the rocks - doesn't get that cold here in SoCal. :)
Made this for Super bowl Sunday last year and they were a hit -- was requested to make again this year. We cure our own bacon, so will use this recipe again with that.
These were very easy to make and used all Greek yogurt (no sour cream) and White Lily self-rising flour, omitted the baking soda.
Very nice and they came out very fluffy. They do puff up, so wont use as much batter to make as it spilled out a little. I will add bacon bits next time and perhaps spices as others have done.
Will make again.
TOTALLY delicious and modifiable.
Brown sugar mix is on top (I use hot BBQ sauce like Lucille's instead of regular ketchup).
Mix 1/2 of the meat with spicy pork sausage.
Have a box of Ritz Crackers sitting around, so used those instead.
Leave out onions (I don't like them) and always forget the ginger, but no loss.
I always make a double batch and freeze one for later.
This is a GOOD recipe and my husband, who like me isn't a big meatloaf fan, loves it!
