I love the taste of this recipe but it is a bit dry. After adding a tbsp of veg oil and a tbsp of vinegar and half a cup extra flour, it is so much better! I also use it to make cakes as well as cupcakes.

These cupcakes are 1 of my favorite things to make for parties and just for fun. Obviously takes more effort but worth it! I would give it a solid 5 if it weren't for the cake being so dry every time. I think I'll try adding a tablespoon of oil next time to see if that helps. Eating them day 2 always seems better since the cakes have time to soak up some moisture out of the ganache and buttercream. Aside from that, they are absolutely delicious. That is with using Guinness, Bailey's, Jameson and Ghirardelli. Oh and I like to add the ganache inside and as a topper.

I have made this cake numerous times now as well as making cupcakes. It is definitely at the top of my list for favorites especially with white wedding buttercream and raspberry puree filling. Mmm The only thing I change is adding extra almond extract because I absolutely love the flavor it brings.
