I started by making roughly double the quantity. I didn't have rice wine or chicken stock, so tweaked it. Used a pint of vegetable stock and only a splash of Apple vinegar then made up the volume to half pint with water. Made with brown rice and a whole heap more mushrooms. Six was never going to be enough for me.Added extra Garlic, mixed herbs, Tarragon and Tyme.Even so it was moreish.

They darken super easy from all the sugar. They had a bitter aftertaste which I'm sure was from both the cream of tartar and the baking soda. Easy to whip up, but not the texture we enjoy.
We love pancakes, but these missed the mark for us. They were doughy, dense, and tasted like flour mixed with water. We won't be making these again, though we had high hopes for them.
These were good, but sweet. Would like them with coffee.
