Bibi 548 Recipes 805 Reviews Mom always provided beautiful, fresh veggies and lots of great Southern-style dishes. She taught me to be a made-from-scratch cook, and I have followed her lead. I have ventured out though, and now we enjoy wonderful flavors from around the world! You may take the gal out of the South, but you can't take the South out of the gal. Home-style fried chicken is still the BEST! Read More Links recent activity see all LimeBagel8258 reviewed Bibi’s Asian-Style Ground Beef Cabbage Wraps. Yesterday A keeper! I just love my air fryer! It does such a great job on fish. The timing of this recipe is spot on. I used regular panko and did not turn the fish during the cook. Be careful with Cajun seasoning though, because it's very salty. A mini- offset spatula worked beautifully for spreading the seasoned mayo on the filets. I just love simple recipes that give great results! I didn't have this planned so didn't have a lemon but it came out beautifully. I chose to go more of a shrimp "boil" with everything being done in the air fryer and it was a hit. From freezer to air fryer to finished dish, this was spot on. It was a game changer for nights I wasn't thinking ahead. Thanks for sharing! Helpful (1) Broccoli Raisin Salad 03/23/2025 I've been making this salad for years, and we love it, though I've gradually reduced the sugar, over time. I suggest stirring up the mayonnaise and vinegar, then add the sugar a Tablespoon at a time, until you reach your desired sweetness. 2 Tablespoons is enough sugar for my family. Also, I put the onion in a mesh strainer and run cold water through it, which takes the "edge" off of the onion taste. The most wonderful thing about this salad is that the lefties are so good! Helpful (0) Marinated Flank Steak with Horseradish Cream 03/19/2025 A keeper! I've been making Saveur's recipe for years, and today I discovered I hadn't reviewed it! The marinade is a great combination of flavors, and the instructions are spot on. My grill was preheated to 450º, and I grilled the meat at 400º, for a little under 5 minutes per side, because we like it a bit under medium. Don't skip the horsey-cream sauce. It's a great partner for this steak! Helpful (0) Crunchy Pecorino Baked Cod 08/18/2024 Very nice! Cod can be pretty bland, but this topping wakes it up! It’s easy, and it comes together quickly, and it’s a great way to get another fish serving on your family meal plans! Helpful (0) Air Fryer Chicken Tenders 08/13/2024 Easy to follow These had a nice crunchy crust! Be sure to watch for doneness, since chicken tenders can be dry, if overcooked. Our tenders were most successful when I made sure all the flour was "wet" with the oil. In areas where I missed, or was too light with the spray, the flour didn't turn into crust. It stayed white and sort of dusty. My bad, though. I served as a main, with a sweet-spicy sauce, and my fellas were happy! I could easily see these diced and topping a great salad. Thanks for the recipe! Helpful (0) Roasted Parsnips and Carrots 01/08/2024 This is a very tasty dish, but somewhat time-consuming, for a side. It's company worthy, IMHO, and it makes a pretty splash of color and interest on the plate. 30 minutes in the oven was just right--only a bit of caramelization, which made the veggies look great! The use of herb-butter sauce on the veggies is wonderful! I was a little leery of the raw shallot, so I put it and the garlic in a bowl with the butter, and heated them all together while the butter melted. When the butter was melted, I stirred in the rest of the sauce ingredients, and poured over the veggies. Dee-LISH! Helpful (1)
