My husband decided to make taco meat to take for his lunches, so I offered to make this for him to try vs. purchasing packets in the store. He said it was great. Tasted very much like the packets, but with a little bit of a kick; which he enjoyed. If you are not into the heat factor, you could omit the crushed red pepper. I will be making this again soon. Helpful (1) Weeknight Wellington 04/28/2023 I made this recipe for the RRP campaign for the Mushroom Council. What a fun challenge this was for me. I had never attempted any type of Wellington dish. It was not difficult, but a little time consuming with quite a few moving pieces. (I dealt with a little bit of a sogginess factor, but that could have been completely on me.) The end result was worth the effort. I am looking forward to making this again. I may add a little garlic next time. I think I will do a much better job now that I am familiar with the recipe and how to execute it. This is definitely an easy way to step up an average meal to the next level. Helpful (1) Beef and Mushroom Stuffed Shells 04/23/2023 I made this recipe for the RRP campaign for the Mushroom Council. This was ok for me. In all fairness, I did change it up a bit. I used a mild Italian sausage in place of the ground beef and I added extra sauce (24 oz) and cheese (2 cups). Even though I boiled my shells for 12 minutes, they were still a bit hard, even after baking them in the oven. I found the filling a bit runny and would prefer to add mozzarella and parmesan cheese along with the ricotta. I thought it might thicken while cooking, but it did not. The oregano was a bit dominate. I think I would use an Italian season blend or parsley next time. I like mushrooms and thought this was a great use of them. Thank you for sharing the recipe. Helpful (0) Tender Onion Baked Chicken 10/06/2022 My package had 12 tenderloins, so I used an additional 2 to what the recipe called for. Also, I used real butter instead of margarine. Helpful (0) Sheet Pan Mac and Cheese 12/23/2021 I used rigatoni pasta because that is what I had on hand and an additional 1/4 cup of panko crumbs with seasoning. It tasted good.
