Sweet and tasty, this is my original recipe. You don't need to measure, eyeball it if you want! It always comes out great!

Ingredients

  • 1 large can porknbeans (3lb/slightly drained)

  • 1/2 lb hickory smoked bacon (chopped)

  • 1 large white or yellow onion (chopped)

  • 1/4 cup green(Bell)pepper (minced)

  • 2 tablespoons chopped garlic

  • 1/3 cup catsup

  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard

  • 1 tablespoon worchestire sauce

  • 1/2 cup packed dark brown sugar

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 325.

  2. In a skillet cook bacon over med/hi heat until almost done. Drain all except 2 tablespoons of bacon drippings. Lower heat to med, add onion and continue cooking 7-8 minutes. Add garlic and green pepper, cook stir an additional 5 minutes.

  3. Combine remaining ingredients in a large bowl. Add bacon mixture, mix well. Pour into a, greased or sprayed, 9" or 10" baking dish and bake uncovered for an hour (stir once after 30min).
