I successfully made a half recipe using an 8x8 glass pan brushed with avocado oil. Quite literally halved all ingredients, weighing everything with a digital scale. Our mix-ins were butterscotch chips and dried cranberries. I was very lazy and made this as a one-bowl recipe. I melted the butter in the microwave with the sugars, then followed the rest of the directions. The only thing I might change would be to spin the oats in a blender or food processor just a bit so the bite would not be as “rustic” if you get my meaning ;)

Worth the effort Family favorite A keeper! Great flavors Easy to follow
My family loves these oatmeal brownies. I've made them several times with no changes except for adding different stir ins. This time I made them without raisins, but I added caramel chips and butterscotch morsels. I also added 1/2 cup of chopped hazelnuts, because I was out of walnuts. So amazingly good!! Thank you Milly!

Made these for a tailgate— they’re fine. I loooove oatmeal chocolate chip so yummy! Didn’t do the raisins bc it was for a crowd of haters, and also had to forego walnuts due to a friend’s nut allergy, however still pretty yummy! I am a sweet treat lover yet this was still a little too sweet imo. I added some flaky salt on top and that helped w the sweetness. One thing that is super important for anyone attempting this: it takes WAY LONGER to bake. In 20-25 minutes you’ll get a beautiful golden color, but it will be reeeeally underdone. Wiggling like jello when I went to take it out. I ended up having to put them back in with foil on top for an additional 10-15 minutes. Be prepared for 30-35 min bake time!!Otherwise pretty yummy! 7.5/10
