First, we got news that the beloved bagel breakfast sandwiches are back on menus for a limited time. Now, we’ve learned that Mickey D’s is bringing back another fan-favorite treat just in time for summer. We know what you’re thinking—a summer treat probably means ice cream. And everyone knows how ordering ice cream can go at Mickey D’s...let's just say it doesn’t always result in getting said ice cream. But, the good news is this sweet beverage doesn’t come from the ice cream machine at all. Rather, McDonald’s is bringing a flavor of its ever-popular Frappé beverage back to the McCafé menu. You can now enjoy an Oreo Frappé at participating restaurants nationwide for a limited time. McDonald’s Oreo Frappé Returns for the Second Year in a Row McDonald's/Allrecipes Oreo may be milk’s favorite cookie, but it turns out it’s McDonald’s favorite cookie, too, since the Golden Arches have been home to many an Oreo creation over the years. The Oreo Frappé originally joined menus in 2015 as a sweet coffee drink blended with Oreo cookies. Last summer, Mickey D’s brought the drink back for the first time since 2015, and clearly, it was a hit. Now, the drink—which starts with a Mocha Frappé base that gets blended with Cookies 'N Cream Flavored Syrup and Oreo pieces and topped with whipped cream and more cookies—has been spotted on menus once again. The Oreo Frappé is available now at select locations nationwide. There’s no telling how long it will be available, but we hope the frozen Oreo coffee drink sticks around through all the hot summer days. The other good news about its return is that, unlike the Oreo McFlurry or any other dessert, McDonald’s Frappés are available all day long. Since they’re on the McCafé menu, the sweet treat can be ordered for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or even a late-night snack. So, if you missed its return last year, there’s no excuse this time around. And, hey, Mickey D’s, if you want to make the Oreo Frappé a permanent item, we wouldn’t complain either. Or, at least make it the drink of the summer every year. Was this page helpful?
