Sweet-n-sour kielbasa is so simple and always the quickest to disappear at functions. It can be served as an appetizer or over rice and any veggies for a complete meal!

Ingredients

Original recipe (1X) yields 12 servings

  • 2 pounds kielbasa sausage, cut into 1/4-inch slices

  • 1 (12 ounce) bottle tomato-based chili sauce (such as Heinz)

  • 1 (12 ounce) jar red currant jelly

  • ½ cup water

  • 1 tablespoon crushed red pepper flakes

Directions

  1. Stir sausage, chili sauce, red currant jelly, water, and red pepper flakes together in a slow cooker. Cover and cook on Low, at least 4 hours, stirring once every hour.

Cook's Note:

This is a no-fail crowd pleaser! I've been making this for years (thanks mom). The longer the kielbasa "stews" the better; however I would recommend switching your slow cooker to Warm after 6 hours. I've tasted it after an entire day in the slow cooker and it still rocks! You can't go wrong.
