Ingredients

Original recipe (1X) yields 4 servings

  • ½ cup dry bread crumbs

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • 1 pound sea scallops

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • ¼ cup dry white wine

  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice

  • 1 teaspoon minced fresh parsley

  • 1 clove garlic, minced

Directions

  1. Combine bread crumbs and salt in a large resealable plastic bag. Add scallops, a few at a time, and shake to coat. Repeat with remaining scallops.

  2. Melt butter with olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat; sauté scallops until browned and opaque, 1 1/2 to 2 minutes per side. Transfer scallops to a plate; keep warm.

  3. Stir wine, lemon juice, parsley, and garlic into skillet; bring to a boil. Simmer until thickened, about 5 minutes. Pour lemon-wine sauce over scallops; serve.
