Original recipe (1X) yields 24 servings Cake: 1 (15.25 ounce) package white cake mix (such as Pillsbury® Classic White) 1 cup water 3 eggs ⅓ cup vegetable oil 2 tablespoons lime zest 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice 3 drops green food coloring (Optional) Frosting: ½ cup butter, softened 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened 2 tablespoons lime zest ½ teaspoon vanilla extract 1 ½ cups confectioners' sugar, sifted 2 tablespoons pearlized sprinkles, or as needed (Optional) Directions Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line 24 muffin cups with paper liners or spray with cooking spray. Mix cake mix, water, eggs, and vegetable oil together in a bowl using an electric mixer until batter is smooth, about 2 minutes.
