Ingredients

Original recipe (1X) yields 4 servings

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • ¼ cup tomato sauce

  • 2 tablespoons sofrito sauce

  • 1 (.18 ounce) packet Sázon seasoning

  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper

  • 2 cups cooked pinto beans, drained

  • 1 ½ cups water

  • salt to taste

Directions

  1. Heat olive oil in a saucepan over low heat. Add tomato sauce, sofrito sauce, Sázon seasoning, and black pepper; cook and stir for about 3 minutes. Stir in beans, water, and salt. Increase heat to medium; cook until sauce is thickened, about 15 minutes.
