Skittles' Latest Candy Creation Is Coming to the Drive-Thru

I can't get enough of Skittles. While I consider myself a gummy and chocolate enthusiast first and foremost, there’s just something about Skittles that hits differently—especially when it comes to the brand's new drops, which continue to surprise me over and over again, like the Skittles fruit snacks or freeze-dried Skittles Pop'd. However, none of these comes close to my level of excitement for Skittles' latest creation in collaboration with Rita’s Italian Ice.

Rita's Is Launching a Skittles Italian Ice

Rita’s Italian Ice is teaming up with Skittles to roll out a brand-new frozen dessert inspired by the colorful and fruity flavors of Skittles candy. The new Skittles Italian Ice offers a refreshing burst of fruit—or should I say, rainbow?

To kick off the launch, Rita's is adding Skittles Pop'd to its lineup of toppings for anyone who wants to add an extra crunch to their treats. Both items will be available for order nationwide starting on March 17.

But that's not all. For 25 years, Rita's has given away free Italian ice to celebrate the first day of spring—and this year, it's no different. On March 20, guests can swing by any Rita’s to snag a free 6-ounce Italian ice in any flavor of their choice, including the new Skittles Italian Ice.

Just as spring comes and goes, this collaboration is only available for a limited time, or until supplies last. Knowing how popular Skittles Pop’d is, I'm sure these'll disappear quickly—but hopefully not before I get a taste.
