The "Conclave" actor has never shied away from his love for pasta, even telling Allrecipes that he eats it practically every day. Despite Tucci’s social media feed being filled with video after video of him hilariously asking his wife, Felicity (Emily Blunt’s sister), if they’re rolling while he walks viewers through his daily pasta meal, we’ll never tire of the content. And, we’ll certainly never tire of the recipes, either. Over the years, Tucci has shared his pasta casseroles, no-cook sauce, and 20-minute bolognese recipes, and, recently, he posted a video utilizing his pasta e fagioli recipe. You might be thinking, "Don’t we already know the Tucci-famous pasta e fagioli recipe?" And the answer is: sort of, but it’s complicated. Stanley Tucci's 6-Ingredient Pasta and Beans Dish Tucci has indeed shared his favorite pasta e fagioli soup recipe, which we love so much we’ve made it many days in a row. However, his most recent pasta e fagioli recipe isn't a tomato-based soup with ditalini pasta. Instead, it's a simple pasta dish made with just a handful of ingredients, including beans. "Pasta e fagioli" simply translates to “pasta and beans," so any pasta dish with beans could, technically, be called pasta e fagioli—as evidenced by the pasta e fagioli recipe Dean Martin sang about in "That’s Amore," which consisted of ditalini pasta, cannellini beans, water, cinnamon, and cheese. Tucci whipped up his latest pasta e fagioli for a "quick but delicious lunch," his caption read. The dish simply consisted of pasta, onions, garlic, beans, olive oil, and Parmigiano. "It’s really good," the actor said. As Tucci fans, you probably already know that the actor didn’t give any other details beyond that—leaving us to fend for ourselves for the actual recipe. The good news is, this recipe couldn’t be any easier. From the video, it seems like Tucci is using fettuccine noodles, or another thick, flat noodle, with a really simple "sauce" made with sautéed onions, garlic, olive oil, cheese, and pasta water to bind the whole thing together. We assume the white beans (probably cannellini) would be added to the sauce to heat them through before tossing with the pasta. So, whether enjoyed as an "early lunch" like Tucci, or a new quick-and-easy dinner, we’re sure we’ll be making the Tucc’s new pasta e fagioli as often as his wintery soup.
