It’s safe to say that Buffalo wings are a big deal during the Super Bowl. Applebees, Popeyes, Sonic, and TGI Fridays all had special wing deals. That’s no surprise—they’re a staple on the snack table while watching most sports games.

Buffalo Wild Wings, however, didn’t have a deal on Super Bowl Sunday. Instead, it promised a special offer if, and only if, the game went into overtime. And this year, the Kansas City Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers in overtime.

Of course, by the time that happened, most people were done with their game-day snacking, and it would have made no sense for the wing chain to offer its deal once the game was done. Buffalo Wild Wings is smart enough to know that. It’s giving football fans—and anyone else who can get to one of its locations—a couple of weeks to recover before handing out the deal.

How to Get Free Wings at Buffalo Wild Wings

Buffalo Wild Wings promised that if the Super Bowl went past the 4th quarter, everyone in America—regardless of which team you rooted for, whether you watched the game or not, or whether you complained about Taylor Swift’s presence or embraced it—can get one free order of six boneless or traditional wings on Monday, Feb. 26, from 2-5 p.m. local time.

To claim your free wings, head to Buffalo Wild Wings to dine in or order takeout in person. No purchase is necessary, and the terms say that the limit is one free order per customer, which makes it seem as if you can snag a table during the three-hour window, and each person at the table can get free wings.

The promotion is available only from one of the restaurant’s sports bars or BWW GO locations and is unavailable for delivery or call-in. The order must be placed between 2 and 5 p.m. local time.

According to the Buffalo Wild Wings website, the chain currently has 1,274 locations throughout the United States, with at least one in every state and the District of Columbia. Still, the population of the U.S. is over 334 million people. That means that if everyone in the U.S. took advantage of the offer (and yes, we know, babies shouldn’t have Buffalo wings), each location would have to average about 262,166 orders of wings in three hours.

If you want free wings, you’d better start lining up at your nearest location early in the day. Or, if you’re craving wings but don’t want to fight the crowds, make your own restaurant-style Buffalo wings or boneless Buffalo wings at home anytime you please.
