I was pleasantly surprised that the method worked well, since I'm used to browning meatballs a bit before cooking the rest of the way. I will probably do more meatballs this way in the future! But in general I wasn't overwhelmed by the flavors here, just not that exciting of a sauce or meatball taste-wise.
This was a really delicious idea but the proportions/texture didn’t quite come out the way I would’ve wanted. I think it could be solved by using a bit less chicken and a bit more yogurt to get a nice creamy dip. When I followed the recipe exactly it was more like a thick chicken spread, which some might like.
This tasted like all the things it is supposed to taste like, so it was good in general. But it didn’t pull apart very easily, which is obviously a hallmark of monkey bread. Okay tasting, but wouldn’t make again.
This was a little bland as is. I'm annoyed at myself for not reading the reviews before trying, because most of the rave reviews involved some doctoring and additional seasoning :)
I really liked the final output but I wished for a little something else in there - I saw another review mention mushrooms so I might like to try that, maybe some onions too. I'm also interested in trying this in a slow cooker next time to be more hands-off.
