Ingredients

1 pkgs of Ground Turkey or Chicken (1 lb)

1/2 ground sausage (optional)

1 large can of Crushed tomatos

1 can of tomato soup

1 small can of tomato paste

1 small yellow onion
-
2-3 cloves of garlic
-
4 TBSP of Italian Seasoning

1 TBSP Parsley

1/4 cup Red wine
-
1 tsp sugar
-
1 TBSP Lawyrs season salt

2 Bay Leaves
-
2 tsp pepper
-
1 TBSP Olive Oil
Directions

Cook meat until thoroughly cooked, set aside

chop onions finely
-
mince garlic finely
-
Cook onions and garlic till onions are translucent

combined meat, garlic, and onions into crock pot or large pot.

Add remaining ingredients, still well.

If using a crock pot put on Low and cook for a min of 4 hrs (the longer it cooks the better it tastes)

If using a pot put it on Low to med Low and cover...stir occasionally.

Serve with your favorite pasta.

Store remaining sauce in a freezer safe container.

This sauce is also good for lasagna as well.
Cook’s Note
- You can adjust seasonings to your taste. I do not like my sauce to be sweet. If you want it to be spicy add crushed red peppers or half meat and half spicy Italian sausage. You can also add 1 diced green bell pepper. You can also use beef. I use turkey or chicken (1lb). The red wine adds additional flavor and depth.
