Food News and Trends Dunkin’ Has a Brand-New Item Unlike Anything We’ve Seen Before And it's coming for Cadbury Eggs. By Annie Campbell Published on February 14, 2024 Close Photo: Dunkin' Donuts Dunkin’ officially strayed from “Donuts” in 2019 when the brand shortened its name to just Dunkin’. And since then, it seems the coffee chain has expanded into every other sweet treat category imaginable, from boozy iced lattes to hot cocoa bombs to its latest launch: Dunkin’ Chocolate Eggs. Dunkin’ Lauches New Chocolate Easter Eggs As part of the brand's ongoing collaboration with confectionary company Frankford Candy, Dunkin’ just rolled out an all new line of donut-flavored chocolates. If that concept sounds familiar, you might be remembering the Dunkin’ Box O’ Chocolate, which was released for the 2022 holiday season and featured munchkin-themed confections in classic flavors like Boston Creme and Strawberry Frosted. But this time, the bakery-inspired treats are specially made for another iconic candy holiday: Easter. Do they look shockingly similar to Cadbury Eggs? Yes, they do, but with flavors like Jelly Donut, Brownie Batter, and Coconut, we imagine they’ll taste totally different from the classic Easter candies. If you can’t even imagine what “donut-flavored chocolates” would taste like, here’s a little flavor preview. The “Jelly Donut” egg has a white chocolate shell with layers of raspberry-flavored creme and jelly filling inside. “Brownie Batter” features a milk chocolate shell and a decadent brownie batter-flavored creme filling. And, finally, “Coconut” (the most debated flavor by fans online) features a dark chocolate shell, a coconut-flavored creme filling, and crunchy coconut flakes. We first spotted the eggs on the Instagram account @markie_devo, where commenters shared our excitement. Many remarked on how they can't wait to add these treats to their Easter baskets, writing, “Ohh I love the brownie batter donuts!” and “Can’t wait to try these.” Other commenters on social media are hoping for a glazed donut or even a coffee-flavored iteration next. The 9-ounce bags of colorfully-wrapped Dunkin' candies will be available soon at major retailers nationwide including Target, Walmart, and Five Below, as well as through online candy retailers like FrankfordCandy.com, and will be priced around $4.49 a bag. This Easter is set to be the sweetest one yet. Was this page helpful? Thanks for your feedback! Tell us why! Other Submit
