I was making a recipe that called for condensed milk. I had none and decided to make my own with what ingredients I had on hand.

Ingredients

Original recipe (1X) yields 6 servings

  • 1 ½ cups white sugar

  • 1 (12 fluid ounce) can evaporated milk

Directions

  1. Pour the sugar into the milk in a saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Remove from the heat and allow to cool before using.
