Oh goodness, was this ever so good. I did use breasts instead of thighs because that's what I had on hand but other than that I prepared this exactly as written. My husband's only criticism was that it needed more sauce for the chicken to bake in, but please would I make it again. Thank you for an easy, wonderfully delicious dish!
Following a previous reviewer's suggestion, I mixed half the chocolate into half of my plain batter and 16 caramels into the rest of the plain batter and marbled the two in the pan for more of a true turtle experience. This was SOOO good, my father in law declared it his favorite cheesecake.
I have made this recipe twice and I give it 5 stars on taste BUT 1 star on ease of preparation. Since there is no recipe for the curd ... there is a lot of room for error here. I have used two different curd recipes and apparently both are way too soft. The first time I baked the cheesecake with the curd and meringue of top and it was a horrible mess. The cheesecake tasted wonderful but looked awful. The second time it didn't even make to the oven with the curd and meringue. I only used 1 cup of curd I stead of the called for 1.5 cups and stull6had curd running over the side of the cheesecake before I even had half the meringue on top. I decided to go with "Lemon cheesecake with a lemon curd drizzle" for dessert using the leftover curd after scraping everything off. Maybe include *your* curd recipe so others can make this dessert the way you intend.
This was really good. I like a stronger lemon flavor but that is just personal preference. I served this with rice and green beans and there was not enough sauce to go around.Next time I will double the sauce, changing up the ratio of the liquids and add some zest to give the sauce more of a lemony kick.
Delicious. Easy to make up to the point of rolling them out. Even with floured hands the dough was very sticky and stuck to everything. After they were finished baking they looked great but they do fall apart very easily. They do, however, taste very good. I was expecting a more crunchy texture and these came out almost cakey inside. Had I realized this, I might have chosen a different recipe. These are good, just not the hard cookie-type scone I was expecting.
So delicious! I cut back the sugar and added cloves, nutmeg, and ginger and it turned out great. I also used extra butter to keep the crumble from being too dry. This will definitely be one I make over and over.
This was really good. I did cut back the salt to 1 teaspoon instead of a tablespoon and halved everything else and it was still plenty flavorful. It is very similar to other recipes I have tried and will make it again. Love the idea of green beans with the potatoes.
Oh. My. GOSH! So delicious. Where has this recipe been all my life? Easy to make and can't even tell it has grape jelly in it. I followed the recipe exactly using Sweet Baby Ray's Sweet and Spicy sauce, Smuckers Concord Grape jelly, and Hillshore Farms all beef mini sausage links. I will most definitely be making these again for potlucks and get-togethers.
