Taco Bell Is Launching Two New First-of-Their-Kind Items

Get your chill on.

Taco Bell has been known to be pretty innovative when it comes to its menu. Between adding new and unexpected items to the mix, such as the Crispy Chicken Nuggets, to bringing back the beloved favorites, including the quesadilla-style “Stacker,” this fast food chain loves to keep us on our toes for the better.

And while we’ve been known to tackle our own Taco Bell recipes, we still appreciate what the real thing has to offer, especially when trying to copy at home. Now, Taco Bell has something brand-spankin’ new to the menu with cold beverage offerings we never saw coming, but are excited for nonetheless.

Taco Bell recently introduced two brand new drinks to its menu: Coffee Chillers and Churro Chillers in various flavors. Starting on Dec. 15, those who live in the Southern California area can pick up these first-ever frozen beverages for a limited time at select locations.

The latest offerings are inspired by authentic Mexican flavors and Taco Bell’s innovative ways, giving us all something new to sip on with a whopping seven different flavors to choose from.

For the Coffee Chillers, you can expect blended iced coffee in flavors such as Mexican Chocolate, Caramel Churro, and Spiced Vanilla, all topped with a cold foam.

The Churro Chillers are thicker, more like a creamy shake, with a choice of Mexican Chocolate, Dulce de Leche Coffee, Wild Strawberry, and Sweet Vanilla that come with churro crumbles on top of the foam. The Sweet Vanilla Churro Chiller is also a shade of Taco Bell’s signature purple which makes it even more fun to drink.

“We’re always pushing the boundaries to deliver bold and craveable Mexican-inspired flavors our fans have come to expect from us and these frozen drinks showcase how far our innovation goes,” said Taco Bell U.S. Chief Marketing Officer, Taylor Montgomery. “We are constantly listening to what our fans are craving next and we are thrilled to offer them a frozen creation that’s just as delicious and desirable as their favorite menu item.”

Both 16-ounce drink options are sold for $4.19 each. You can find the Coffee Chillers at Taco Bell’s Mission Viejo location and the Churro Chillers are available in Irvine.

People are already talking about these new items, too. On a recent Reddit thread dedicated to Taco Bell’s latest beverages, many users seemed excited with one saying, “These look really good ngl” and another stating “I've always wondered why Taco Bell didn't have milkshakes. This could be a good thing.” One other user said that they were close to both locations and wondered if they “should I try them all." We say yes.

There’s no word yet on whether these offerings will be available elsewhere but we’re sure hoping these chillers will hit other locations soon.
