Costco’s Bakery Brought Back a Fall Favorite Fans Call Dangerously Good

They're so good, they might not even make it through the front door.

Costco has been bringing back some of our favorite prepared foods that are perfect for cozy fall days. The wholesale club just brought back a favorite chicken pot pie and some brand-new loaded mashed potatoes (technically a side, but tempting to eat all on their own). But the prepared food section isn’t the only place to find new and returning treats. Costco’s beloved bakery just brought back the fan-favorite Mini Cran Orange Bisconie.

Are Costco's Bisconie the Same as Biscotti?

Bisconie are a Costco invention—a mashup of biscotti and scones. They are pastries that are perfect to dunk into your coffee or tea (like biscotti but with a softer texture). But, they aren't so soft that you’ll end up with an endless amount of crumbs soaking in the dregs of your coffee cup. You may also compare them to a slightly sturdier muffin top or cookie. Plus, the cranberry-orange flavor is reliably delicious and familiar.

How Good Are Costco’s Mini Cran Orange Bisconie?

Fans commented on Costcoguide’s post, noting their delight in the product's return. One commenter said that Bisconie are “My favorite treat at Costco,” and another described them as phenomenal after trying them for the first time. And while occasionally I have a concern about the shelf-life of baked goods in my small household, another commenter set my mind at ease, saying, “These are amazing, the don't last 4 days in my house.”

The Bisconie have impressed Costco shoppers year after year. In a Reddit thread from early last spring, commenters took it a step further by saying that the sweet treats are so delicious, that they're dangerous to have in the house. One user said, “I can't buy them anymore. Because I could legit eat the entire pack in the span of two to three days at best if I hold myself back. So good.” Another person echoed that comment, saying, “I saw these the other day but they are too dangerous. Forbidden now.” A treat so good you’re almost scared to have it in the house with you? Exactly my kind of bakery endorsement.

One package contains 12 Bisconie, recently seen priced at $6.99 for the package. While some Costco fans online noted that this used to be more of a fall- or winter-only bakery item, it’s been spotted at different times of the year as well. Whether you can only find it as a seasonal bakery item or you find it lurking on the shelves in spring or summer, it's worth snapping up.
